Achieve New England — Home

Our Services

Achieve New England provides evaluations and educational consulting for children, adolescents, and young adults ages 18 months through 22 years. Our Concord-based practice welcomes families from throughout Massachusetts and across New England.

Many families come to us concerned that their child, adolescent, or young adult may be struggling with developmental or learning challenges. Other times, they worry that social or emotional difficulties are hindering a young person’s success in day-to-day life.

Our evaluations help families better understand these concerns, recognize a young person’s strengths, and identify practical supports for learning, development, and emotional well-being.

Evaluations and Testing

Neuropsychological Evaluations

Our neuropsychological evaluations help families understand a young person’s learning, attention, development, and emotional functioning. We bring together testing, developmental history, interviews, and information about everyday life to identify strengths, clarify challenges, and guide practical recommendations for home and school.

Families may seek an evaluation for concerns about ADHD, learning disabilities, autism, anxiety, or depression. Others come to us with questions about significant mood changes, persistent irritability, difficulty regulating emotions or behavior, obsessive thoughts and compulsive behaviors, or trauma-related difficulties. We also work with families navigating complex or overlapping diagnoses who are seeking a clearer understanding of their child’s needs. Each evaluation is tailored to the questions that brought your family to Achieve.

Fee: $4,900–$5,950

Dyslexia & Language-Based Learning Disability Evaluations

Our comprehensive evaluations for dyslexia and language-based learning disabilities thoroughly assess skills and sub-skills in listening, speaking, reading, writing, and math, as well as your child’s cognitive abilities (IQ). You will come away with a thorough understanding of why your child is struggling, as well as their individual areas of strength. Most importantly, you will receive specific recommendations tailored to your child’s learning profile so that valuable instructional time isn’t wasted and skill gaps can be closed as quickly as possible.

Fee: $3,575–$4,675

Early Childhood Evaluations

Early childhood evaluations are designed for children ages 18 months to 3 years. They include assessments of cognitive abilities, language, and motor skills, as well as social functioning, self-regulation, and behavior.

Fee: $2,450–$2,975

Intelligence Testing

We also offer standardized assessments of intelligence (IQ) with written reports provided within 2 days of the testing appointment.

Fee: $1,050–$1,275

Reevaluations and Progress Monitoring

Reevaluations

As students grow, their strengths, needs, and school demands can change. A reevaluation can help clarify current functioning, assess progress since previous testing, and update recommendations for learning and everyday life.

Families may consider a reevaluation when new concerns arise, a student is making less progress than expected, or an upcoming transition brings different demands. Updated testing may also help inform school programming, IEPs and Section 504 plans, or requests for standardized-testing and college accommodations.

We consider the questions you would like to address and the testing already available when planning a reevaluation.

Academic Progress Monitoring

Academic progress evaluations are ideal for students who already have a specific learning disability diagnosis and have received interventions through special education, response-to-intervention (RTI), or private tutoring. This evaluation will assess your child’s current academic skills and sub-skills to compare results to previous assessments and available progress monitoring data. You will come away with a clear understanding of your child's progress to date, as well as specific feedback on the effectiveness of recent interventions.

Fee: $2,600–$3,400

Educational Consulting and Additional Support

Educational Consulting

Our educational consulting services help families understand a student’s learning needs and consider how those needs can be supported at school. Services include school-record review, consultation about IEPs and Section 504 plans, school observations, participation in school-team meetings, educational placement guidance, and ongoing progress monitoring.

Our neuropsychologists and educational consultant work with families to clarify questions about school programming and identify practical next steps.

School Observations

In some cases, the additional service of an on-site observation of a student's current or proposed school program may be beneficial. All observations include a parent feedback appointment and comprehensive report with individualized recommendations for placement/programming:

Fees:

2-hour observation: $2,925–$3,825

4-hour observation: $3,575–$4,675

Observation of two programs, integrated report: $4,875–$6,375

School Meetings

Our clinicians are available for school meetings following the evaluation process. This service includes record review and preparation time, a 15-minute parent phone call either pre- or post-meeting, and one hour of meeting participation.

School meeting package: $650

Child/Adolescent Feedback Appointments

In some cases, it may be helpful for a child or adolescent to receive a developmentally appropriate feedback appointment to discuss findings with their clinician.

Fee: $195

Additional Consultations

While each of our evaluations includes a feedback session with families, we also offer additional consultations as needed, such as follow-up consultation with providers (e.g., therapists, attorneys, advocates) and written letters of support or clarification.

Fee: $325–$425 per hour, billed in 15-minute increments

Fees and Next Steps

Financial Considerations

For evaluations or testing, payment is due in full on the date of evaluation. We accept only cash or check, and the practice does not accept insurance directly. Many families choose to seek reimbursement from their insurance on their own after the evaluation. Insurance companies vary widely in the types of evaluations they cover, and families are encouraged to contact their insurance company by phone to inquire about their reimbursement for “out-of-network” neuropsychological testing. Following the assessment, we provide an invoice that includes information needed for obtaining any available reimbursement from insurance.

Choosing a Service

If you are unsure which service would best fit your child’s needs, please inquire. Our team can help clarify the options and next steps.
